Captain Asamoah Gyan says the Black Stars will be going into the Mali game with the absolute intention of winning.
Ghana threw away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with DR Congo in the opening Group B fixture of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The four-time African champions are now red-faced to secure their first win of the campaign to resurrect their title ambitions in South Africa.
And Gyan who is tasked with leading the Ghana team to ending a 31-year wait for an African title says the mentality going into the game against Mali on Thursday is to win.
ââ¬ÅWe have to go with the mentality of winning because the more you win, the more you qualify,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅI would urge Ghanaians to keep calm, keep on praying for the Black Stars.
ââ¬ËThey should have confidence in the team because this is just the first game, we have got two more games to go.
ââ¬ÅIt will depend on the players, now everything depends on the team and we will make sure we demonstrate it and make sure we qualify from the group.ââ¬
Ghana with one point are now third in Group B behind Mali and DR Congo ahead of the second round of group games.
