Ernest Sowah is in line to replace long-serving goalkeeper of TP Mazembe Robert Kidiaba, GHANAsoccernet.com is reliably informed.

The DR Congo international who is now 38-years-old is likely to retire from football after the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Mazembe are in advanced talks with the Ghana goalkeeper over a move to take over from the celebrated Kidiaba who is famous for his bottom-bounce celebrations.

Sowah became the obvious choice for Mazembe following his exploits in the DR Congo top flight with Don Bosco.

The 26-year-old has conceded just four goals in nine matches for Don Bosco in Group 1 of the zonal league in the DR Congo.

He is even reported to be in Ghana’s provisional squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Sowah played for Tema Youth and Berekum Chelsea before making the switch to Don Bosco in 2013.

A deal could be in place for him to join TP Mazembe as early as January.
