Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom provided two assists in Platanias’ historic 7-0 thrashing of Kalloni in the Greek top flight.

The Black Stars full back who is on loan from Ukrainian club FC Dnipro impressed at both ends of the pitch as he helped the defensive unit keep a clean sheet while surging forward to provide extra support in attack.

The win – which is the highest margin in the club’s history – lifts the Reds from the foot of the table but they remain in relegation zone.

The resounding win eases pressure on Angelos Anastasiadis’ side who had suffered consecutive defeats in their last two league matches.

Inkoom was however booked in the 64th minute of the game played in Perivolia.

The 24-year-old’s return to form comes just in time with just under three months to the start of the 2014 World Cup.

The former FC Basel man is expected to make Ghana’s squad for the World Cup which will be hosted by Brazil.
