Coach Robert sackey has dismissed media reports that he’s been fired for non-performance.
The US-based trainer guided the country’s Under-20 Women’s team to a disappointing campaign at the recently concluded FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup held in Japan.
The Black Princesses exited the first round after they suffered three defeats in their group without scoring a goal.
Media reports are claiming coach Sackey has been sacked but the gaffer has vehemently denied the story insisting he is ready for anything.
“I dont know what they are talking about and I have also read them on the net but I haven’t even met the GFA yet and nothing has been said to me,” Sackey told Sunyani-based Storm FM
“All the same I understand the principles of my job and believes that it is normal to be sacked after such a performance in a tournament so I’m ready for anything from the FA.
“This job I’m doing is just like patriotism because I haven’t been paid a dime.
“I also scouted for Ghana during the 2006 world cup in Germany withouting collecting anything and all these shows patriotism.”
