Ghana FA's Executive Committee pats Black Stars for sterling AFCON showing

The Ghana FA’s Executive Committee says it is ‘exceedingly impressed’ by the performance of the Black Stars at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in its review of the tournament.

The Black Stars exceeded expectations by clinching silver at the tournament staged in Equatorial Guinea.

Ghana bounced from a disastrous start to the competition following a 2-1 defeat to Senegal to go all the way to the grand finale where they lost on penalties to Cote d’Ivoire.

The Black Stars have come in for massive praise for their heroic performance at the 2015 AFCON.

The GFA’s Executive Committee in its review of the tournament congratulated the team for their sterling performance.

“I can confirm to you that the Executive Committee is highly satisfied with the performance of the Black Stars,” Ghana FA Presidnet Kwesi Nyantakyi told a press conference on Tuesday

“That they exceedingly impressed by the performance of the team at the Africa Cup of Nations.

“We also congratulate Mr. Avram Grant for the sterling performance with the team despite taking over in a very short time.”
