The Ghana FA will over the weekend firm up a partnership agreement with Manchester City Football Club.
The agreement's duration though yet to be announced will basically see Ghana benefit immensely in areas of youth development, coaching and commerce.
ââ¬ÅIn furtherance of the objective to improve the game here, we will be doing a collaboration with Manchester à City Football Club,â⬠Ghana FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi told a media briefing on Thursday.
ââ¬ÅIt is because of the enormous or the immense benefits that such a collaboration will offer the football association.
ââ¬ÅAs you are no doubt aware, Manchester City is one of the biggest brands in the world today.
ââ¬ÅThey have a lot of facilities and opportunities that a football association from Africa can gain a lot from.
ââ¬ÅThis includes the area of coaching, we are looking at the situation where our coaches will get to go there on attachment and also bring coaches here to share experiences.
ââ¬ÅWe are also looking at player developments so now or in the future they can come back to contribute to our national teams.
ââ¬ÅWe also look to benefit from commercial activities where we want to leverage their commercial strengths and then use the links they have in sponsorships.ââ¬
Nyantakyi will be joined by coach Akwasi Appiah and Communications Director Ibrahim Sannie Daara for the trip to Manchester on Saturday.
