The Ghana Football Association has welcomed the nationality switch of Emmanuel Frimpong but insists it will not be a walk in the park for him.

The 20-year-old was cleared by FIFA early this week to feature for the Black Stars after over a year of anxiety.

His clearance comes at a crucial time that the Black Stars are preparing to take on the rest of Africa at next year’s Nations Cup in January.

The Charlton Athletic midfielder could be drafted into the team but the Ghana FA spokesperson Ibrahim Sannie Daara insists he must work his sucks off to get a place  in the team.

“A very strong midfielder coming into a very competitive midfield for Ghana,” Daara told radio XYZ

“It’s not a walk in the park at all to be a midfielder and be a Ghanaian.

“Most of our best players are midfielders if not all. It will not be a stroll in the park for him."

The Black Stars have not won the continental title in 30-years and will need their best arsenals to end their long-wait for an African crown.
