Ghana FA technical director Francis Oti Akenten wants an end to debate on the Black Stars disappointing World Cup campaign and wants attention turned to the winning the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The qualifiers for the tournament to be hosted by Morocco next January will begin this September.

Ghana have failed to win the Nations Cup since 1982 triumph and lifting the trophy for the fifth time next year will placate the fans for the washed out campaign in Brazil.

Akenten is urging all and sundry to bin matters relating to the World Cup and look forward to a successful AFCON.

“We will have to start thinking about Morocco which is just around the corner,” he told GHANASoccernet.com

“We have qualification and then we will have to give our all to win it also.

“So for my candid opinion we will have to wrap up on this world cup issues and start thinking of how to succeed in the AFCON.”

The Black Stars have managed to reach the semi-final of the last four editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.
