Ghana FA (GFA) president Kwesi Nyantakyi has confirmed that they will thoroughly discuss the possibility of using Milovan Rajevac as part of the Black Stars backroom technical staff for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in June.

Ghana's leading football news website Ghanasoccrnernet.com exclusively revealed on Thursday that coach Kwesi Appiah has approached the GFA over the possibility using the Serbian manager as an advisor during the tournament in Brazil.

The Black Stars coach met the Serbian manager in Montenegro on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of playing an advisory role for his technical team for June’s World Cup in Brazil.

Rajevac, who is currently out of work, told GHANAsoccernet.com sources in the Serbian media that he is seriously considering the offer from coach Kwesi Appiah.

Nyantakyi says he is open to the idea of using the Serbian at the World Cup but insists this must be thoroughly discussed before any decision is taken.

"I wish we could use him as one of our scouts for the World Cup, but this must be subjected to a thorough discussion before we could take any decision," Nyantakyi told GNA.

“It is not something that has been discussed, it just came to mind in this interview, but I think we can discuss and explore the possibilities of getting him to assist us during the world.

"We shall discuss the possibility of adding him to our scouts, because he could be of great help to the team.

"I do not really care about where help is coming from provided it will make the team better and give us the results."

The GFA will review the situation once Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is able to convince his former boss to return to the side in an advisory role for the 2014 World Cup.

Rajevac remains hugely popular amongst Ghanaians during his impressive reign as coach of the Black Stars where he led the side to the finals of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and almost guided Ghana to a historic semi final place at the last World Cup in South Africa – during which time Kwesi Appiah was his assistant.

The ex-Qatar coach is noted as a tactical genius for transforming the Black Stars into an almost unbeatable force during his two year reign from 2008.

Ghana coach Appiah is determined to make a stronger impact in the upcoming World Cup in Brazil where they are drawn in Group G alongside Germany, Portugal and the USA.
