Ghana FA General Secretary Emmanuel Gyimah has confirmed taking delivery of $577,500 as 'appearance fee' for the management team of the Black Stars.

The amount collected according to the GFA scribe was itemized as 'appearance fee' to the seven-member management committee of the Black Stars for the three group matches played at the 2014 World Cup.

Gyimah was empowered to collect the money from the Sports Ministry's accountant by an authority note given him by the Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi.

“I was given an authority note to collect $577,500 as appearance fees to the management for the group matches from the accountant of the Sports Ministry," Gyimah told the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on Tuesday.

The money collected represented $82,500 given each member of the seven-man management team of the Black Stars for the 2014 World Cup.

The commission was however confused as to why monies was collected on behalf of seven people when indeed only five were working in Brazil.

But Emmanuel Gyimah referred the question to the President of the Ghana FA to whom he delivered the cash to in Brazil.
