The Ghana FA's annual congress will go ahead on Friday after a deal was reached with the lawyers of King Faisal Football Club over an injunction on the event to usher in the new season.

A deal was reached not to discuss matter of relegation and promotion into the Ghana top-flight as the owner of King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grunsah is fighting the club's relegation.

This means congress will go ahead but the matter of relegation and promotion will not be discussed until Grunsah is satisfied that all legal means have been exhausted.

King Faisal have been embroiled in a legal tussle with Aduana Stars over the latter’s legibility to play in the 2014/15 season for months.

This also means the league's start scheduled for 21 September could be scrapped.

Relegated King Faisal Babies placed an interlocutory injunction on plans by the Ghana Football Association to hold its Congress scheduled for Friday.

The Kumasi-based club secured the injunction at the Human Rights Unit of the Accra High Fast Track Court on Thursday afternoon.

The court was restraining the Football Association from holding its congress to kick-start the season, until a case involving the club and Aduana Stars has been conclusively dealt with.

Sources say at the time the injunction was served to the Ghana FA secretariat, the Executive Committee was in a meeting discussing the Congress billed for today.

The decision to reach the deal means that the congress will go ahead without the discussion on the league to confirm relegation and promotion.
