The Ghana FA Congress have approved the single judge system for adjudicating disciplinary issues.
The new system will be replacing the Disciplinary Committee which was fraught with several challenges.
The old system needed a formation of a quorum to begin hearing of disciplinary cases.
Therefore the often absence of committee members who operate on a part time basis delayed and piled up cases.
This had a negative effect on the swift adjudication of cases which sometimes even had effects on club standings in their various leagues.
The new single judge system which will have one professional sit on disciplinary issues will ensure the swift delivery of justice within football administration in Ghana.
The proposal received a unanimous approval by Congress and is set to take effect this year.
