The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the Black Stars will play Turkey on 14 August in an international friendly.
Both federations had to reach a deal after their initial opponents pulled out.
Iran disappointed Ghana last month when they cancelled their training trip to Portugal
Turkey were billed to play Uzbekistan who pulled out due to harsh weather conditions.
Abdullah Avci's side will host the Black Stars at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul for the first time.
"August 14 is very important to us because of its proximity to the next available match which is 6 September in Kumasi," Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi told MTNFootball.com
"We think that will be a very good platform for the coach to fine-tune the team and also as an opportunity to assess one or two new players who may be called on board to come and justify their inclusion."
Turkey are ranked 57th in the world by FIFA while Ghana are in the 24th best national team in the world as released by the world football governing body on 4 July.
