Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi has no doubts Kwesi Appiah has the requisite credentials to lead the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
Reports are rife in the country that the ex-Ghana captain would be replaced if qualification is sealed next month.
Former Hamburg coach Klaus Topmoller has been linked a technical director job and will lead Ghana at the World Cup.
The Ghana FA has strongly rubbished that publication and expressed their groundswell support for Appiah.
Nyantakyi says the results chalked by Appiah so far make him the perfect man for the job.
“It is incredible that in our recent football history no coach has scored more goals as Kwesi Appiah,7-0 against Lesotho, 6-1 against Egypt, 4-0 against Sudan that shows the fluidity of play, dynamism and attacking mindedness of the team and all is to the credit of the technical team headed by Kwasi Appiah,” Appiah said.
“We will continue to support him and we believe that if Kwasi Appiah gets more support he will perform wonders and make Ghanaians happier.”
