Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi says the amount budgeted to be paid to ââ¬Ëmanagementââ¬â¢ for work done during tournaments is not solely for the benefit of management committee members.
A lot of issues have been raised over the quantum of monies paid to officials accompanying Ghanaian teams to international tournaments.
Ghana FA General Secretary Emmanuel Gyimah confirmed taking delivery of $577,500 as ââ¬Ëappearance feeââ¬â¢ for ââ¬Ëmanagementââ¬â¢ during the 2014 World Cup which was duly budgeted for.
Several media reports suggests that the amount collected by Gyimah was shared amongst the seven-member management committee of the Black Stars.
This meant each member - including that of the late Jordan Anagblah and the unavailable Emmanuel Kyeremeh â⬓ received $82,500b each.
But Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi in seeking to clarify this widely publicized notion says people outside the management committees of national teams â⬓ with specific reference to the Black Stars â⬓ are beneficiaries of the budgetary allocation.
ââ¬ÅThe benefits of the money budgeted as honorarium for management members transcends the boarders of the management members, the secretariat and even the GFA,â⬠Nyantakyi revealed at the Presidential Commission.
ââ¬ÅOther members who play direct roles in the success of the team were beneficiaries.
ââ¬ÅSo for instance, in the budget you have, you will see an amount multiplied byâ⬦. for seven people but then the money is not only for the management committee.ââ¬
