The Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has told the Black Stars to put the Lesotho win behind them and focus on the final qualifier against Zambia.

The Black Stars leapfrogged the 2012 African champions in Group D after beating Lesotho 2-0 in Maseru on Sunday.

John Boye and Asamoah Gyan scored in either half to give the 2010 FIFA World Cup quarter-finalist victory at the Setsotso Stadium.

Zambia dropped points at home in a 1-1 draw with Sudan on Saturday to set up a top-of-the-table clash on September 6 in Kumasi.

Nyantakyi says the Black Stars will finish their campaign with a win.

"Our destiny is in our own fans. We must beat Zambia in Ghana to qualify and even a draw will take us through to the final stage of the competition," Nyantakyi said.

"But I am very hopeful that come September when Zambia come to Ghana, we will win and we will confirm our position as the leader of the Group."

The winner of the pool will advance to the third round of the African qualifier which will involve ten teams.

Zambia beat Ghana 1-0 in Ndola last June in the corresponding fixture.
