Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi is amongst the distinguished invited guests at this year’s Glo CAF Player of the Year awards gala being staged in Nigeria.

Nyantakyi has been invited as a member of the powerful CAF Executive Committee to the annual event that recognizes the immense efforts of African players, coaches and officials.

This year’s event is taking place at the plush Eko Hotel in Victoria Island in Lagos.

The GFA boss walked into the grand auditorium on Thursday night in the company of other federation Presidents and Executive Committee members led by CAF boss Issa Hayatou.

This year’s event could see Ivorian star Yaya Toure win the grand award on three consecutive occasions.

The Manchester City star however faces competition from countryman Didier Drogba and Nigeria midfielder Obi Mikel.

Ebenezer Assifuah is the only award prospect for Ghana as he contests Egypt’s Saleh Gomaa and Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho for the Most Promising Talent award.
