Ghana draws hosts Algeria, Benin and Egypt in AYC

Ghana U-20 team to face Algeria, Benin and Egypt in African U17 Championships

Ghana will face Algeria, Benin and Egypt at the group stage of the African Youth Championships.

The Black Satellites were drawn in Group A of the competition which will be hosted by Algeria.

The 2009 World champions will be looking to banish the ghosts of their failure in the last edition where they stumbled out after just the first round.

Ghana will also look to seal qualification to the World Cup as one of the two teams to progress from the group  into the semi finals of the tournament that kicks off in March next year.

Group B houses Nigeria, Mali, DR Congo and Gabon.

The first two teams to emerge from the respective groups will qualify to the World championships to be hosted in Turkey.
