Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom had his family in the stands cheering on as Platanias secured a vital win in their final home game of the season.

The Red Shamrock coasted to a tough 1-0 win over Panaitolikos to give their survival ambitions a major boost ahead of the final game of the season.

Inkoom was in full time action for Platanias as his wife; Omega and three kids Samuelina, Samuel Jnr and Shawn watched on at the Dimotiko Stadio in Perivolion on Sunday night.

The Black Stars defender celebrated the win with his family alongside goal hero David Torres.

The win gives Angelos Anastasiadis’ side a huge chance of beating the drop as they go into next weekend’s final game of the season against Panionios who are also racing to beat the drop.

Inkoom’s club career has been revived since joining the Greek club on loan from FC Dnipro in January.

His regular run of games puts him right in the mix for a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
