Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has been successful in his bid to help Platanias retain their top flight status after helping the side to a crucial goalless draw against Panionios in the final game of the season.

The right back was in full time action as the Red Shamrock clinched a vital away point to finish two places above the drop zone.

Inkoom has been revived since joining the Greek club on loan from FC Dnipro during the winter transfer period.

The ex FC Basel man managed 15 appearances for Platanias to boost his chances of making the Black Stars squad for the 2014 World Cup.

He will however revert to his parent club – Dnipro – after the expiration of his loan stint in Greece.
