Ghana defender John Pantsil has denied reports linking him with a sensational move to Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko.
The ex-Fulham star has been without a club after being released by Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv last season.
English side Millwal decided against signing the player after training with Heart of Lions for a few months ago.
Pantsil told Kumasi-based Angel FM: “I was told that some journalists brought this story on radio and I couldn’t believe it.
“So are these people (journalists) not tired about carrying fake news about me in the media”?.
“In fact Kotoko is a big team in Africa and a respected team on the continent as well but the fact is this story or rumour is never true.
“If even I decide to play for Kotoko, I will feel very proud doing so without regret but I haven’t decided on coming to play here yet and I haven’t talked to anyone concerning this move before.”
The experienced right-back recently revealed that the much-publicized story which hit the media some months back about him stabbing his wife in the eye has cost him his football career.
