Ghana defender John Boye has been named in Kayseri Erciyesspor’s roaster for next season in the Turkish top-flight, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 27-year-old joined the side from French outfit Stade Rennes on Tuesday, as exclusively revealed by Ghana’s leading football portal.

He has signed a three-year bumper deal with the club on a free transfer and will wear the No.7 jersey.

Boye refused to extend his expiring contract with French side Rennes as he sought opportunities elsewhere to boost his career.

This season could prove to be important for the club as they have made huge signings for the season.

The ambitious Turkish side Erciyesspor already have AC Milan midfielder Bakaye Traore, Senegalese defender Pape Diakhite and Portuguese forward Edinho in their fold.

The Ghana talented centre-back was linked with several clubs in the top leagues of Europe including Barcelona and Liverpool but nothing concrete has materialized.

Go and kiss their money in the air and after score an own goal. When other countries playes are putting country before money and you did the opposite greedy bastard.I pray for you to end up like John pencil scoring own goals like water.

When a player is going to turkey after WC showpiece, then it tells a lot about the said player! WC, is the greatest theater on earth and a lot of players uses it to showcase their talents but the case is opposite for boye!

If his form dips, he ll find it hard to find a new club because the world already knows who he is and again, clubs ll scrutinize him very well before they all sign him because they ll think like he is coming for the money and not for the club!

John Boye played his last match for bs against Portugal… If you are obsessed with money @ the expense of ur team the pitch will tell, hence that stupid own goal vrs Portugal…. Good luck Mr Money Kisser.

If the likes of the John Boyes ever gets the opportunity to play for the black stars again then i really will believe all the allegations against coach Appiah and kwesi nyantakyi. What a shameful player.

The only thing this money kisser sought after was more money. He was arguably the worst player in the mundial.

John Boye will be one of the first players to be called. What Ghanaians have forgotten is that we don’t have a lots of super stars except these average players. The coach has experimented with most of the players but only few live up to expectation. Why do you think some of them were crazy for $100000 dollars?. There are only two reasons:
    1. They are shortermist- Did not know it is a platform to sell oneself for the future benefit and again they don’t get paid £170000 a week like the super stars. Please tell me how many superstars we have in Ghana which made us felt, we were going to win the world cup? How many has the popular clubs shown interest in. To perform well they need to play above themselves but they are not committed to that extent.

Why are you all crying Ghana man? Before Akwasi Appiah made his selection for the world cup, I told you Ghana man, that this man( john boye) is a waste like his coach. And all Ghana men started crying like babies which you are. John boye played less than 119mins for his french club the entire season, a couple of days to the world he started playing 10 and 15mins and all of a sudden Ghanaians because of their stupidity that is the men started rooting for him, whiles Sumaila Rashid who has played the entire league in South Africa was dropped to the bench.
Mr. Writer, I have no education but I’ll not write this stupid piece and call myself journalist afterwards what a waste of time and trash pasted on a trash cann. Who offered him an extension to his contract, he is injury prone with no better performance unlike kpb. As selfmade said” when player moves to turkey after the wc showpiece” than there is a problem. Vindication….vindication….Nana Adwoa Twekese seems to understand soccer more than some of you uncritical thinking Ghana men writing here. Adios
