Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom move to MLS side Houston Dynamo is hanging in a balance as the deal has not been completed, his agent has revealed.

The 25-year-old was surprisingly traded by DC United just within three months of his arrival at the American top-flight side.

DC United announced earlier this month that Inkoom has signed for Houston Dynamo in a swap deal.

However, Inkoom’s agent Christian Emile says the move to Houston Dynamo is not complete as an agreement has not been reached.

"To clarify , Houston Dynamo conducted their approach in the correct manner however there has been no agreement reached," Emile wrote on Twitter.

The 25-year-old signed for DC United in September and featured in just two league matches, one start.

Inkoom proved his value in the CONCACAF Champions League by assisting on two goals in three matches.

The Washington DC-based side decided to trade him and backup goalkeeper Joe Willis for Andrew Driver and a fourth-round 2016 Super Draft pick.

Inkoom, who can play as a winger and a right-back, joins with his experience from the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.

Inkoom was thought to be on his way back to recovering his best form when he decided to move to the MLS after struggles with his last European club Dnipro.

But the former FC Basel man could only manage six appearances in all competitions for DC United – leading to his trade alongside Joe Willis to Houston Dynamo in exchange for Andrew Driver and a fourth-round 2016 MLS Super Draft pick.
