Ghana right-back Samuel Inkoom has another weekend to wait to make his Ligue 1 debut after he was left on the Bastia bench in their 1-0 home defeat against OG Nice

Ghana full-back Samuel Inkoom must wait for another weekend to mark his French Ligue 1 debut after being left on the bench on Saturday when Bastia lost 1-0 to OG Nice on home grounds. 

The 23-year-old watched from the substitute bench at the Stade Armand Césari when a Neal Maupay hour mark finish consigned Bastia to their 13th defeat of the campaign.

Inkoom completed his switch from Ukrainian side FC Dnipro on transfer deadline day but had his debut delayed due to paperwork.

The former FC Basel influential defender was named in Frédéric Hantz’s 18-man squad but was left on the bench.

He could show up in Bastia’s trip to Troyes next Saturday.
