Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom
By Ameenu Shardow
Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom was handed his first start in Bastia’s 1-0 loss at Bordeaux on Sunday.
The 23-year-old lasted 53 minutes after which he was replaced by Christophe Vincent in the Ligue 1 clash.
The ex Asante Kotoko player’s return to first team action serves a massive relief following a torrid year-and-a-half spell of virtual inactivity.
Inkoom arrived in France in January on loan from Ukrainian club FC Dnipro in pursuit of regular top flight football.
His move appears to be paying off now that he has played his first Ligue 1 game for the Blues on Sunday.
The right-back has now hopefully turned his club career around in time to help Bastia finish well in the season run in.
Inkoom’s first team return will also boost his national team prospects as he has proven to be a reliable defender for the Black Stars at the top of his game.
He did not play as a right back in the game. Stop deceiving…

He played like someone who has not played a game for months. He will improve with time but, there is a reason no respectable coach has ever started him at right back consistently.
Daniel Opare and Harrison Afful are far better than Inkoom at right back. Paintsil is now oluman. Stop over hyping Inkoom. We dont need him now.
ghanaman never ever talk sense at all. You say the guy no play at rightback in the game. Which position he play too you can’t say.
