Samuel Inkoom is reported to have joined Bastia even though the club has not confirmed it

Ghana and Dnipro defender Samuel Inkoom has joined French top-flight side Bastia, several French media outlets have reported.

This comes even though the two clubs have not confirmed the move.

Several media outlets in France reported the alleged move just before the winter transfer window closed on Thursday night.

According to the reports the Ukraine-based right-back signed two-and-a-half year deal on Thursday night.

The reports say the Corsican leaders reached an agreement with their counterparts from Dnipro for the transfer of Inkoom.

The 23-year-old has been out of favour at the Ukrainian side Dnipro after falling out with coach Juande Ramos over his commitment to Ghana national team duties.

Despite these reports Bastia have not confirmed the move as they earlier in the day sealed deals for Senegalese Fatty.

If the is true then Bastia have pulled off a massive coup in signing the talented full-back.

Inkoom has 37 caps with the national team of Ghana, but has not been selected to participate in the African Cup of Nations 2013.

West Ham were among clubs reported to be showing interest in the Ghana defender.

I pray this deal goes through. Ukraine and Russia should be a no go place especially for talented playes like Nkoom and Boateng. I guess it all about money, but money is not everything in life. Russia ended shilla Illiasu’s career, same as Baffour, Laryea, etc. Let all pray for Waris as he seeks a breakthrough in the Russian league. All the best bra Nkoom.
