Ghana defender Inkoom excels in Dnipro Cup win

Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom impressed in Cup win for Dnipro

Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom finally got a game under his belt in FC Dnipro’s 1-0 win over Zemchuzhyna Yalta in a Ukrainian Cup match on Sunday.

The 21-year-old excelled in the game to prove his worth to manager Juande Ramos.

Inkoom had been completely frozen out of the Dnipro squad following his decision to snub a club directive not to travel to help the Ghana U-23 team during last year’s All Africa Games qualifier.

The Ghana international has remained patient all this while despite being left out of the team and sometimes left to rot on the bench for games since the start of the season.

His return to first team action comes as a massive relief to many who were concerned over his recent lack of game time.

The ex Asante Kotoko player has been an integral part of the Ghana national team since breaking onto the scene as an exciting teenager after Ghana’s successful run at the 2009 U-20 World Cup in Egypt.

tank God for dat, u will surelly overcome it. God is in control.inkoom we re with u in prayers.

  2. real sabacious says:

Hahahahaha cheap propaganda!what do u mean by he excel?did u even watch the match at all?did u check the strenght of the opponent before publishing this crap?.for ur inform, inkoom has not been warming the bench like u said!he has been out of the 18 man squard for dipro tru out this season, just like his team mate derek boateng.cup matches are meant for rusty and inactive players, hope he can manage and play both the league and the europa cup matches for dipro!rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Adebayo says:

This report is all about the fact that Inkoom finally got a chance to play, not what he accoplished on the field of play! Wrong caption!

  4. tuga says:

masa keep quit is just a cup game and you starting with your media talks again ,only players who don’t play regularly are used for cup games . ghanasoccernet if this is not an advert for national team why didnt you write about ADIYIAH , he also played 120 minutes and won 3-2 same in ukraine and has played in all their games this season as a regular starter but you not write of him. OPARE IS going to take this 2 position so stop talking about this cup player and lets see if he will play in nest games .

  5. sabato says:

stop talking about u23 game the guy is not doing well now please . i like these players nana asare , abeyie, adiyiah and other players who are very good players but just quit concentrating on their work only inkoom and some others who pay to media just to catch attention but very bad players. gsn you must now write about every player and stop destroying some players if you have written about inkoom what about the other players playing in ukraine too. same

  6. GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! says:

INKOOM MUST ONLY BE USED AT THE 2. THAT IS WHERE HE EXCELLS. INKOOM MUST HIT THE WEIGHT N ADD SOME BODY SO HE CAN BE STRONG, N FEND OFF THE STRONG N FAST STRIKERS. IF INKOOM IS NOT GETTING PLAYING TIME AT HIS CLUB, HE SHOULD DEMAND A TRADE IMMEDIATELY.

  7. Randy says:

How many people know that Akaminko is also a right-back? He played at the RB for his club yesterday and impressed. Inkoom has a strict Manager, therefore should be allowed to cement his position at the club, call him when there is a need not every game. The same goes to Opare. Let Panstil struggle with Akaminko for the spot.
