Ghana defender John Boye has exclusively told GHANAsoccernet.com he will return to action in January.
The 26-year-old suffered a long-term injury and has been sidelined since October.
Despite returning to training for Les Rogues et Noirs, the Black Stars center-back has declared he will not return to action at the Route de la Lorient until next year.
"I'll return in January next year. That's when I want to start playing again for Rennes. I think I'll be more ready and prepared," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
The injury forced the former Heart of Lions defender out of Ghana's World Cup qualification play-off against Egypt.
