Ghana defender Boye scores in Stade Rennes draw

Black Stars center-back John Boye scored his second club career in Stade Rennes 2-2 stalemate with Sochaux in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.

The 25-year-old headed the equaliser for Frederic Antonetti's men in the 34th minute after Giovanni-Guy Sio had given Sochaux a 1-0 lead.

Julien Féret weighed in a cross for Boye to power home to restore parity for Rennes.

This was Boye's first game for Rennes since the end of the 2013 AFCON.

Boye's first career goal came last season in the 3-1 win over Valenciennes.

Former Ghana captain John Mensah was not in the Stade Rennes team while Ishmael Yartey also did make the trip with Sochaux.
