Ghana defender Boye rules out Rennes exit

Ghana defender John Boye will not quit French side Rennes this season despite putting in excellent performances for both club and country.

The silky centre-back was one of the best players at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations which led to rumours of him being linked with several clubs in Europe.

Boye says he is yet to receive an offer from a rival European club insisting he wants to continue to develop his career at Rennes.

"What I know is that I'm a Rennes player and I'm playing there next season, only God knows if I will leave the club or not,'' said Boye who played 19 times for Rennes last season.

"Everything is okay for me at the club at the moment, I had a great season so I'm just hoping to work harder to achieve more.

"This is the time I have to work more to show to all and sundry that my form is no fluke, I have to aim high," Boye added.

Boye was linked with several clubs including Marseille, PSG and German side Hoffenheim.
