Ghana defender Baba Rahman reveals what makes a successful left-back

Augsburg star Baba Abdul Rahman has given an insight into the attributes of a modern left-back.

The Ghana international has earned rave reviews for his defensive and attacking forays on the left side of defence.

Rahman has been described as a modern full-back and he believes the game nowadays requires left-backs to be dexterous.

“You’ve got to be strong in both defence and attack,” the youngster explained in an interview with FIFA.com

“You have to be confident enough in your own ability to push forward, but of course you’ve also got to tackle strongly, pass accurately and remain disciplined.”

“Perhaps the key thing about my play is my pace, technique and willingness to attack,” he added.
