Ghana defender Afful set to quit Esperance

Posted On Friday, 17th June 2011

Harrison Afful

Harrison Afful is set to leave Tunisian side Esperance as they are set to sign a foreign player to replace the Ghanaian defender.

The former Asante Kotoko has been instrumental in the club’s recent strong showing.

It is however not known whether he has been been axed or he is being eyed for a transfer to Europe.

Tunisian newspapers have reported that Mali defender Idrissa Coulibaly is on the verge of joining Esperance to replace Afful.

The news comes as the defender is recovering from a hamstring injury.

The former Asante Kotoko player is expected to recover fully before the seasons end in Tunisia.
