Ghana coach to monitor Black Stars players in Europe ahead of World Cup
Kwesi Appiah will be heading to Europe for scouting.

Kwesi Appiah says he will intensify his scouting activities on Ghana players to ensure the best are picked for the 2014 World Cup finals.

The ex-international has six months to monitor his players before naming his final 23-man squad for the tournament.

Appiah has got the core of his team which secured qualification after eight matches including the playoff matches against Egypt.

He will be seeking to bolster his squad which players who will pop before the end of the season to gatecrash his final list.

"We will be in Brazil to make sure we get a team base and after that I make sure I do some visits to the players and then keep monitoring," the soft-spoken trainer said.

"At the moment we have got some few injuries. I will visit those who have got injuries and then I keep monitoring everyone.

"I think our next friendly game is in March but before that we will keep an eye on everyone and make sure they are all in good shape."

Appiah is supported by another ex-international Maxwell Konadu as his assistant coach.
