Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says their match against the United States at the 2014 World Cup will be the toughest for the Black Stars despite the presence of European giants Germany and Portugal in the group.
The Black Stars will take on the Americans in their opening Group G match in the 'Group of Death' in what has been seen has Ghana's softest match in the tough group.
Experts believe that Ghana will fall to Germany and Portugal and will salvage some image by defeating the United States in the tough group.
However, Ghana coach Appiah says having beaten them in their past two appearances at the World Cup, the Americans will come out hard to fight in their match which will make the game very difficult.
“For me the most difficult game would be the USA because we have beaten them twice," the Ghana coach Appiah said.
“Germany is a good team and so is Portugal. The USA has been winning most of their games, and all the teams in Brazil are good."
Appiah said they must work on the psyche of the players to avoid complacency in the match against the United States because of the previous wins over the Americans, insisting that they will be shocks in tournament in Brazil.
"There will be a lot of surprises in the World Cup,†Appiah said.
"We need to psychologically work on the boys to get them prepared, because there could be traces of complacency that would need to be expunged ahead of that game.â€
Ghana will face Germany and Portugal in their last two matches respectively.
