Ghana FA Executive Committee member Randy Abbey believes the Black Starsââ¬â¢ technical team under coach Kwesi Appiah needs some beefing up before the 2014 World Cup.
The former Black Stars captain has made history by becoming the first Ghanaian to lead the side to World Cup qualification.
Ghana qualified for its third successive finals in grand fashion - smashing teams along the way to clinch one of the five qualification slots for Africa.
Some however are however of the view that coach Kwesi Appiah needs some sort of technical assistance to address lapses within the team.
Sceptics have even called for a ââ¬Ësuperior technical brainââ¬â¢ to either replace or supersede Appiah to make Ghana stronger going into the finals which kicks off in June in Brazil.
And though Randy Abbey believes there are technical challenges within the coachââ¬â¢s set up, the Ghana FA Executive Committee member says Appiah is the best to address these concerns.
ââ¬ÅOne key area will be the coachââ¬â¢s backroom staff for the World Cup,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅThe coach has challenges but I have a lot of confidence in our coach and his ability to know what is right for him to achieve results.ââ¬
