Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has heaped massive praise on Stephen Appiah describing him as an ââ¬Ëexceptionalââ¬â¢ personality.
Appiah became the first local man to guide the Black Stars to the World Cup after two previous feats were chalked by Serbians.
The ex-Asante Kotoko trainer has touted the credentials of the former Juventus ace and expects him to play a role in Brazil.
ââ¬ÅStephen is an exceptional person. I remember after the last World Cup he told me I was going to lead the team to the next World Cup,â⬠Appiah said
ââ¬ÅAnd I told him he was going there with me. He is one man who commands massive respect among the playing body.
ââ¬ÅThere should be a role for him in Brazil and there will be. He has to go to Brazil. But the management will meet and then everything will be made clear.
ââ¬ÅI told him weââ¬â¢re going to Brazil together and Iââ¬â¢m keeping that promise.ââ¬
Appiah captained the Black Stars to two successive World Cups in 2006 and 2010 in Germany and South Africa respectively.
