Ghana coach Appiah wants Cape Verde win to boost confidence

Posted On Wednesday, 14th November 2012

Kwesi Appiah believes victory over Cape Verde in Wednesday’s international friendly will provide the much-needed boost to confidence ahead of next year’s Nations Cup.

The Black Stars will take on the Blue Sharks in Lisbon eager to win to maintain team confidence ahead of the continental mundial.

Coach Appiah has drafted in new faces for the game as he looks to announce his final squad for the tournament.

He has charged his men to win against Cape Verde to boost their self-belief ahead of the South Africa showdown.

“We actually need to get a win to boost our preparations,” Appiah said

“I will be looking at their tactical discipline. I will also be looking at their attacking and defensive roles.

“The most important thing is for the players to do what I required of them so that I can always rely on them.

Kwesi Appiah make sure Ghana offence is lead by Asamoah Gyan,Ayew and Quicy and behind them Muntatai,Actsu and Kwadwo Asamoah in AFCON 2013 and you will succeed.

The match is in Portugal and u refused to invite quincy!!! How could be so callous appiah!! Am so disappointed with this coach!!! Can’t believe appiah!!! When the serbians were doing that to him,i understand but for appiah too to do the same leaves much to be desired!! Two players couldn’t make it and u still refused to called quincy!! A former player doing that to another player is very mean and i wish he don’t live to regret it big time!! He might have had issues with someone at the fa buy life still goes on and this is the time to do the right thing for your country by extending the olive branch to him because that’s what a coach should do!! Am really sad appiah is doing this to quincy because is simply un-ghanaian!!! We live to see!! Viva the revolutioncioooooo!!!
