Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah has opened a window of opportunity for ‘rebel’ Black Stars players as he will be calling up FOUR additional players for next month’s crucial game against Zambia.

The Black Stars will take on the Chipolopolo for next month's match in Kumasi and the coach says he will boost the squad with some key players who were not considered for Wednesday's friendly against Turkey.

Andre and Jordan Ayew are to write to the Ghana FA to rescind their decision to temporary quit the national team while AC Milan star Kevin-Prince Boateng is also to do same before being considered for selection.

His Milan teammate Sulley Muntari is also to render an apology to the coach, his technical team and players for engaging in what is deemed as a rude argument for his substitution in June’s win over Lesotho.

Other key players like Abdul Majeed Waris and John Boye not among the squad for the game in Istanbul.

This brings the number of key players currently outside the team to four with Michael Essien still undecided over his international future ahead of the crunch game against Zambia.

Coach Appiah has now confirmed he will be calling up four additional players to augment his regular squad for the September 6 clash against the Chipolopolo in Kumasi.

This opens a big window of opportunity for the ‘rebelled’ players to stage a comeback to the team for the deciding 2014 World Cup qualifier but only if they do the proper thing.

“As to the team that I would present against Zambia as I said earlier, some of the players are not part of the team,” coach Appiah revealed at after the 2-2 draw with Turkey.

“The team that came on in the second half has many players in my starting team, but I have about three or four players who are not part now and whom I would call for the Zambia game.”

Ghana only needs to avoid defeat against Zambia on September 6 to book a play off place in the qualification series for next year’s World Cup in Brazil.
