Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah has hailed his players for the impeccable unity within the Black Stars team.

Appiah had to rally the side back together following a disappointing finish at the Africa Cup of Nations very early this year in South Africa.

The ex Ghana defender had to deal will salient disciplinary problems during Ghana’s successful World Cup qualifying campaign.

These problems were however managed effectively – avoiding an implosion in the process.

But coach Akwasi Appiah says credit must be given to his players for ensuring the continued unity within the Black Stars squad.

“The one good thing about the team is unity,” he said.

“The players are really united and we are all like brothers. I think we have been able to bring everybody together and they understand that they are all there for a purpose.

“The players deserve the credit for bringing the team together.”

The team unity will be hugely relied upon at next year’s World Cup in Brazil where Ghana is drawn in a tough group alongside Germany, Portugal and USA.
