Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says his team will not be affected by the absence of Christian Atsu ahead of Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Sudan.
The Porto winger has been ruled out of the tricky tie at the Baba Yara stadium after suffering a late injury last weekend.
The Ghanaian trainer has opted not to replace the former Rio Ave loanee for the game against the Nile crocodile, insisting his absence is not a bother to him.
“I have always said that I don’t rely on only one player. We have a pool of talents in this country and so whoever is available can do the job,” Appiah said
“Ghana abounds in talents. It’s unfortunate injury ruled him out but we have equally good players who can play in his role.”
The Black Stars must beat Sudan to put their campaign back on track after losing to Zambia in their last World Cup qualifier.
Akwesi Appiah, does not have a team! Rather he has a “pool of talents” with equally good and interchangeable players! He is still looking for °good talented players” to play at the various positions! Hopefully he will have enough time to groom them into °fully-fledged” players to form a formidable team to compete in tournaments or qualis to these tournaments?!?!?!
De reason why sometimes i am proud 2 be a ghanaian in terms of football is dat, God has richly blessed us with so many talented players dat is why we don’t depend on 1 or 2 players and dat is also why we call us african brazil, and i will like 2 wish Atsu a speedy recovery but i hope de rest of dem will make us proud on sunday.
