Asamoah Gyan believes compatriot Abdul Majeed Waris can be a future star for Ghana.
The Russia-based striker has earned huge plaudits after his excellent displays for the Black Stars since he burst onto the international stage.
The 22-year-old was on target for the West Africans in their 6-1 thumping of Egypt in a first leg qualifier of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Kumasi on Tuesday.
And the Ghana star striker has tipped the Spartak Moscow player to shine in his career.
ââ¬ÅWaris is a very good striker and also a discipline player too. If he keeps working hard Iââ¬â¢m sure he will become a major hit,â⬠Gyan said
ââ¬ÅI talk to him and he listens to me. I am the hatchet man and so eyes are always on me.
ââ¬ÅSo I come back and give him free room to operate. He is a young chap with great potential and Iââ¬â¢m confident if he continues, he will be the future star.ââ¬
Waris has scored in his last three international games for the Black Stars at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
