Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan will be releasing his latest single with hip life star Castro when the Black Stars take on a local select side in a friendly on May 23.

The friendly which is being organized by Primeval Consult will see the Black Stars play a local select side drawn from the Premier League, the second and third tier leagues in a friendly as a sending off ahead of their World Cup campaign in Brazil.

The event slated to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on May 23 will include performances from some of the household names in the Ghanaian music industry.

Amongst some of the acts will be the first performance of the latest single to be released by Castro which features Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.

“You will see Castro and the national team captain [Asamoah Gyan] in action where we will release our latest single,” Castro revealed to Metro FM after the launch of the friendly match on Thursday.

Gyan has had a successful hobby life in Ghanaian music after teaming up with his friend Castro to produce three hit singles.

The Black Stars captain’s first song with Castro titled African Girls topped the Ghanaian charts for almost a year and was the celebratory theme song throughout the 2010 World Cup.

The duo later came out with Do the Dance – another club banger which also enjoyed a lot of air play.

Asamoah Gyan and Castro are now gunning for awards after being nominated in several categories for the upcoming Ghana Music Awards with their latest hit track Odo Pa ahead of the release of their latest production to be released on May 23.
