Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan extended his impressive goalscoring form by hitting a hat trick in Al Ain’s 4-1 win over Al Sharjah in the Presidents Cup game played on Tuesday.

The Black Stars captain has hit a rich vein of form since returning from a successful international break to help Ghana seal qualification to next year’s World Cup in Brazil.

Gyan has now scored six goals in just two matches for the Boss.

The ex Sunderland hitman was again at his ruthless best on Tuesday where he scored thrice to help Al Ain progress in the knockout competition.

The 28-year-old started the rout on the stroke of halftime to pull Al Ain even haven gone behind to a fourth minute strike by Carlos.

Michel Bastos then doubled the lead in the 61st minute before Gyan returned again to score his second eight minutes later.

The marauding Ghana striker then achieved the inevitable by grabbing his hat trick in the 90th minute to seal the comfortable win at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
