Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan says the Black Stars are delighted that Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew have rescinded their decision to retire from the Black Stars.

The Black Stars, who are camping in Johannesburg ahead of Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Lesotho, were over the moon when they heard the news.

The Marseille duo announced their return to the national team on Tuesday following an invention by President John Dramani Mahama.

Andre quit the national team in February claiming he was unhappy over some members of the Black Stars management committee while Jordan said he must be guaranteed first team place before he returns.

But they have rescinded their decisions unconditionally making themselves available for coach Kwesi Appiah in subsequent Ghana matches.

Gyan said as the two players return to the team it will significantly boost the squad as they fight for their 2014 World Cup place.

"I feel that talking about the Ghanaian team, unity counts a lot, we are happy for the Ayew brothers. They have played in the team before and only went for a break so we are happy to see them back, " Gyan told SuperSport in South Africa.

Gyan who has made 72 appearances for the Black Stars after scoring against Somalia in his debut match in 2003 will be hoping to increase his goal tally on Sunday.

The former Sunderland striker's two goals against Sudan last weekend moved his goal tally to 34.
