Deputy Sports Minister Vincent Opong Asamoah has exclusively told GHANASoccernet.com that his sector is almost through with Spain visa accusation for the Black stars for their pre-AFCON camping.

Ghana coach Avram Grant has opted to camp in the European country to fine-tune preparations before trimming down his final squad for the tournament to be held in Equatorial Guinea.

The former Chelsea manager is expected to announce his provisional squad of 31 players on Wednesday.

The team were initially billed for Abu Dhabi but that has been abandoned with plans far advanced for camping in Spain.

“Yes I can confirm to you that we have worked on some of the players visas already for Spain especially those we know form core of the side,” Asamoah confirmed to GHANASoccernet.com

“We would have been done already but for the fact that we do not have the entire squad so that is all that remains.

“Some of these guys already have European visas so it wasn’t too much of a bother.”

Ghana have been drawn in the Group of Death comprising Senegal, South Africa and Algeria.
