Ghana to have boosted squad for AFCON with return of several key players

Ghana will be boosted ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with the availability of several key players.

The Black Stars secured qualification to next year’s soccer mundial in Equatorial Guinea after seeing off neighbours Togo in their last qualifying fixture without some of top stars.

The Black Stars recorded a comfortable 3-1 win over Togo to seal their qualification berth on Wednesday at home.

Th Ghanaians  reached this  stage without some of their top stars in the course of the qualifying campaign due to injuries and suspension.

The West African powerhouse were without influential captain Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah for the games against Uganda and Togo through injury.

Jordan Ayew missed the clash against the Cranes due to suspension while his senior brother Andre was left out of the final game against Togo following a thigh injury.

With the Africa Cup of Nations set to start in late January, Ghana will be boosted by the return of their key players including defender Isaac Vorsah and probably 'rebels' Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien and Kevin Prince Boateng for the Africa showdown.
