Ghana begin training in Namibia capital Windhoek for CHAN

Ghana's home-based national team have started preparations in Windhoek for the start of next month's African Nations Championship - CHAN.

Twenty-seven players have made the pre-tournament squad which will be pruned to 23 before the team flies out to South Africa for the tournament reserved for only home-based players of member nations.

Maxwell Konadu on Saturday held his first training session with all the players taking part in the Namibian capital as they started their training camp.

Ghana are paired in Group C with Libya, Ethiopia and Congo for the 2014 African Nations Championship.

The 16-nation tournament will kick-off on 11 January and finish on 1 February 2014.
