Ghana attacker Samuel Afum performed a successful surgery on his left knee on Monday morning, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The 22-year-old who plays for Swiss Super League side Young Boys has been playing with a knee injury which has affected his season.
The former Hearts of Oak star was successfully operated on Monday morning by YBs surgical doctor.
Afum is expected to return to training in January for Young Boys and be ready for the second round of the Swiss Super League season.
He has scored five goals in all competitions for Young Boys this season and played in the second half of their 2-2 draw against FC Basel on Sunday.
Afum was operated on his right knee last season.
