Ghana AFCON duo Kissi-Boateng and Asante join TP Mazembe

Published on: 21 February 2013

Ghana duo Solomon Asante and Richard Kissi-Boateng left Accra last night for DR Congo to join TP Mazembe.

The two players from Berekum Chelsea signed for the Ravens before the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Left-back Boateng made his debut in the third-place playoff match against Mali and was impressive.

Asante, a right winger, was the toast of Ghana fans and played in four matches.

Their arrival in Lubumbashi will increase the rank of Ghanaian players at the club to five after Yaw Frimpong, Gladson Awako and Daniel Nii Adjei signed.

TP Mazembe will use their services in the CAF Champions League.
