Sulley Muntari wants fans to fight racism

AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari wants fans to play a key role in the fight against racism.

Racism is a major blot on the beautiful game of football with black players especially being a target of racial abuse over the years.

The Ghanaian international, who is not new to racist abuse, believes everybody must be involved in the fight against the canker.

“This mentality can only be changed by example and always remember that there are children who watch our attitude. If someone is doing something that is not feasible in the stadium, then the person next to him has to remind him,” Muntari said.

“Certainly a good father would never allow his children to learn from such a bad example. Would he want his son to grow with the same mentality?”

Many black players have suffered racist abuse of varied proportions.
